Healing from abuse and trauma

Unfortunately, we live in a world where abuse and traumatic events or experiences are commonplace. While events such as these cannot be easily explained away or permanently forgotten, there is hope in finding a path towards healing. Trauma can come in many forms but in its simplest form, trauma is a negative life changing event or series of events.

Whether your experience was a single event or the summation of many, trauma isn't dependent on the severity or duration because the same event can be traumatic for one person and not another. This being true, trauma is not about the actual details of the occurrence, but more about the context in which the occurrence finds itself.
