A little about me...
I’m a trauma-informed therapist whose goal is to empower you so that your most challenging life experiences can become your greatest strengths. I have a special interest in working with individuals committed to healing issues related to trauma, chronic childhood trauma, sexual, emotional, and physical abuse, family of origin issues, anxiety, depression, and insecure relationship patterns. Working with survivors of trauma is a passion generated from my own lived experience.
Trauma can change us profoundly, leaving us in survival mode, feeling disempowered and disconnected from ourselves and others. Collaboratively, we will work together to identify your strengths, reduce the symptoms that are impairing your daily functioning, change painful thought patterns and behaviors, and develop and utilize healthy coping skills.
There’s no one-size-fits-all model for treatment; I utilize a variety of evidence-based modalities tailored to every client’s unique and individual needs. I work from a strengths-based perspective that is nurturing, affirming, supportive and non-judgmental. Recovery cannot occur in isolation.
Together, we will explore your inner and outer worlds, with the aim of helping you restore a sense of safety, power, and healing. My goal is to help you experience profound self-love and relational health, so that you can live your best life.
